My name is David Andrews. I am a friendly, down-to-earth mathematics and statistics teacher. Skills that I emphasize in my teaching are oral and written communication, building relationships, problem solving, critical thinking and reflective assessment, contextual teaching using technology. Technology is one focus area I want to leverage so that my students are able to experience specific connections with mathematics and statistics during their instruction and learning. I believe everyone has talents and gifts that align to higher performance and satisfaction in life and work. Developing those talents and gifts is my focus.
Specializing in mathematics and statistics, I help people develop stronger skills and sustainable proficiency in the following areas.
• Connecting and utilizing mathematics and statistics in the “real world”
• Problem solving

• Oral and written communication
• Standardized testing (SAT, ACT, GRE, CRCT, EOCT)
• Commitment to accountable performance improvement
Tutoring is available for middle, high school and college students in the following areas: geometry, algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus and statistics. I am knowledgable about both the integrated curriculum of the Georgia Performance Standards and the up and coming Common Core Standards (integrated and traditional).
